MediCell is a sterile, nonpyrogenic viscosurgical device of purified, high molecular weight and non inflammatory premium grade Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose for cataract surgery. It can be used as a space occupying tissue protective fluid and lubricant during ophthalmic surgery. MediCell is offered in a volume of 3 ml in a disposable syringe. MediCell may be stored at room temperature away from sunlight.

MediCell plus is a sterile, nonpyrogenic viscoelastic pre- paration of highly purified, high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate, dissoled in a physiological buffer at pH 7.0 - 7.5. It is a clear solution supplied in a disposable syringe. The sodium hyaluronate is produced by extraction of shark cartilage. The resulting polymer is a large molecular coil with enhanced rheological properties. Because of its native hyaluronic acid it has a high degree of biocom- pability. Each syringe contains 1.5 ml of 2% viscoelastic solution.
